The 12 Colour Seasons
Which One Are You?

Every person belongs to one of twelve seasonal colour types. Knowing yours means never buying the wrong colour again.

The Seasonal Colour System

Twelve seasons. One is
uniquely yours.

The 12-season colour system is the most precise method of personal colour analysis available. It divides human colouring into twelve distinct types based on three dimensions: warmth (warm versus cool undertone), depth (light versus deep), and clarity (bright versus muted). Every person sits somewhere on these three axes — your season is the intersection that describes your colouring most accurately.

Most people have heard of the original four seasons. The 12-season system takes that foundation and refines it — recognising that within each season there are distinct sub-types with meaningfully different palettes. A Light Spring and a Bright Spring are both warm and clear, but their best colours differ. Knowing your sub-type is what makes your palette truly precise.

"Once a woman knows her season, she stops guessing. Every shopping decision becomes clearer. She looks consistently polished with far less effort."

All Twelve Seasons

The four families and
their three sub-seasons each.

Spring — Warm, Light, Clear

Spring types have warm golden or peachy undertones, light to medium colouring, and clear bright features. Their best colours are warm, fresh and luminous. Springs are overwhelmed by heavy dark colours and washed out by cool pastels.

Light Spring

The lightest of the Springs. Delicate, warm and luminous. Best in soft warm neutrals, peach, warm ivory, and light golden tones. Overwhelmed by anything too deep or too bright.

Warm Spring

The truest Spring — the most warm and golden. Best in coral, warm orange, golden yellow, camel and warm greens. Looks best when every colour in the outfit is warm-toned.

Bright Spring

The clearest and most vivid Spring. Shares vibrancy with Bright Winter. Best in clear, warm, saturated colours — bright coral, warm turquoise, clear warm yellow. Can handle more contrast than other Springs.

Summer — Cool, Light to Medium, Soft

Summer types have cool pink or rosy undertones and a soft, muted quality to their colouring. Their best colours are cool, soft and elegant. Summers are overwhelmed by bright saturated colours and warm earthy tones.

Light Summer

The lightest and most delicate Summer. Best in soft, cool pastels — powder blue, soft lavender, rose pink, and cool ivory. Can look washed out in deep or saturated colours.

Soft Summer

The most muted of all the seasons. Best in soft, cool, greyed-down colours — dusty rose, muted lavender, sage, soft teal. Looks best when every colour is equally low in saturation.

Cool Summer

The truest Summer — the most cool and classic. Best in pure cool colours — berry, cool rose, soft navy, cool grey, and lavender. Can handle slightly more depth than other Summers.

Autumn — Warm, Medium to Deep, Muted

Autumn types have warm golden, olive or earthy undertones and rich, muted colouring. Their best colours are warm, rich and earthy. Autumns are drained by cool colours and look harsh in very bright or icy shades.

Soft Autumn

The lightest and most muted Autumn. Best in soft, warm, greyed-down tones — warm taupe, soft terracotta, muted olive, and dusty warm pink. Can be overwhelmed by deep or intense colours.

Warm Autumn

The truest Autumn — richly warm and earthy. Best in warm rust, burnt orange, olive green, mustard, camel and chocolate brown. Every colour should be warm-toned and medium to deep.

Deep Autumn

The darkest Autumn, with the most depth. Best in deep, warm, rich colours — dark chocolate, deep olive, burgundy, forest green and warm black. Can carry the deepest tones of any Autumn sub-type.

Winter — Cool, Deep or Clear, High Contrast

Winter types have cool undertones and either very high contrast colouring or very clear, vivid features. Their best colours are cool, deep or icy. Winters look washed out in warm earthy tones and overpowered by muted colours.

Deep Winter

The darkest Winter. Best in deep, cool, rich colours — deep navy, black, deep burgundy, forest green and pure white. The most dramatic of all the seasons — needs depth to look their best.

Cool Winter

The truest Winter — the most purely cool. Best in icy pastels and deep cool tones — icy pink, cool grey, navy, black and pure white. Looks washed out in any warm tone.

Bright Winter

The most vivid Winter, sharing clarity with Bright Spring. Best in high-contrast, saturated cool colours — true red, bright cobalt, hot pink, black and white. Can carry the most colour intensity of any season.
